Curt Ritter, Mayor
Mayor Curt Ritter is serving his third term as Mayor and his fifth year on the Township Committee. He previously served as Mayor in 2017 and 2016 and Deputy Mayor in 2015 and 2014.
He currently serves as Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications for the Church Pension Group. He previously served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications at CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT) and Director of Corporate Communications for W. P. Carey LLC (NYSE: WPC) and served as First Deputy Press Secretary to New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
He was a member of the Chatham Township Zoning Board of Adjustment and has been involved in a number of organizations including the Delbarton Alumni Association, where he served as President; the Chatham Education Foundation, where he served as Communications Chair; Corpus Christi, where he served as a Catechist and Chatham Recreation where he coached youth soccer. He currently serves as President of The Chatham Turkey Trot, a non-profit organization he founded that annually raises funds for the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department and the Diabetes Research Institute.
He is a graduate of Delbarton School and received a BA in Broadcasting from Arizona State University’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and an MBA from Columbia University.
Curt has lived in Chatham for more than a decade with his wife Jen and three young children who attend Chatham schools.
